L'Occitane Face Scrub Mud

Given Description:
Brings your complexion out from under the clouds. Blends a bounty of sunny Provençal natural elements--green clay from the Montmorillon in central France, A.O.C. olive oil and exfoliating olive kernel powder, grapeseed oil and fragrant rosemary--to leave the face incredibly soft and smooth to the touch. Ideal for normal skin, and any complexion sullied by pollution, or compromised by fatigue.

From the moment you apply it, feel the perfect olive oil "slip" on skin, and the unmistakable integrity of natural ingredients. Moisten clean skin and apply the mud. Massage to exfoliate and rinse immediately. May be used once a week. Also try: Olive Exfoliating Shower Cream for the body.

Taken from L'Occitane website

I like how this product is specially formulated for oily skin, and has sufficient 'scrubbing agents' so i don't feel that i have to rub too hard to get dead skin off.

The lingering smell after you wash it off is also much nicer than the initial smell you get from the jar. I like that it doesn't dry your skin out either and make it itchy/irritated. My skin also feels very smooth after scrubbing with this scrub.

I scrub about once a week, sometimes twice a week. I don't scrub so often because it isn't good for your skin.

Costs USD $30.

L'Oreal Pure Zone Exfoliating Gel Wash

*sorry for the chinese words on the picture! Taken from another web

Given descriptionL
Blemish-prone skin is caused when there is an excess of sebum and an accumulation of dead skin cells, both of which can block pores. At times, excess bacteria can build up and imperfections appear.

This formula contains ISO BACTER technology with anti-bacterial exfoliating Salicylic Acid to help fight and effectively prevent te development of imperfections.

Instructions: Apply daily to wet face and gently massage, concentrating on the T-Zone area. Avoid delicate eye contour area. Rinse with clean water.

I like the design of this bottle, really easy to just flip the cap and squeeze when in the shower and everythings slippery. I don't like those where you have to unscrew the cap and then screw it back on. Takes a lot of time and i often drop the cap in the bathtub, and then i'll have to hunt for it.

This exfoliating gel was a lot more watery then i expected. The first time i used it a lot came out onto my hand so you have to take note that it does have a rather runny consistency.

The exfoliating beads are a nice size and don't hurt my skin too much when i scrub. The gel smells a little clinical, but it does give a fresh effect and after about 30 secs of scrubbing and then rinsing off, your face feels really clean and fresh. It has that type of cooling menthol effect that i love and is just great when you rinse with icy cold water to wake yourself up.

I wouldn't recommend using this daily however, as it did cause my skin to start peeling, esecially around the nose area. My skin was smoother and clearer after a week of using it so i would say this is rather effective. I now use it once a week.

I am unsure of how much this costs, i would say maybe about $14 + SGD? Check out your nearest pharmacy for it, Watsons and Guardian should stock it, along with other Pure Zone products. I would recommend this to students looking for a way to clear their spotty skin, but do not have much money.
