L'Occitane shampoo and conditioner 3 essential oils for normal and fine hair

I don't think this shampoo is selling in stores anymore. I've checked the site and it doesn't seem to be there. Either they have stopped selling this, or they repackaged it so that it looks different. Anyhow, im unable to find the given description on this and too lazy to type it out from the bottle so you'll just have to make do with my review.
As with all of L'Occitane's essential oil products, i find it hard to pinpoint the exact scent. It doesn't have the prevailing smell of citrus, lavender, tea tree or whatever. It's a jumble of everything, so forgive me if i cannot fully describe to you how it smells like.
I dont have a picture of the conditioner either, but the above picture is that of the shampoo and the conditioner has the same packaging, only that it comes in a smaller size. That is what i love about this product. The conditioner is sold in a smaller size, which is a really great thing because normally when i buy shampoo and conditioner as a set, i naturally use them together. As you know, people hardly use the same amount of conditioner and shampoo for their hair. You would normally use less of the conditioner, as you are only conditioning the middle to end parts of your hair and not the scalp. So when this 'more of shampoo, less of conditioner' thing happens, you tend to use up the shampoo much quicker than the conditioner.
I don't like having left over conditioner from the hair shampoo brand i was using before that, so i get royally pissed off. This conditioner however, comes in a smaller bottle so you get just the right amount you need for the amount of shampoo you use and you would probably finish the set together. I haven't finished it, but i can already predict that i will.
The shampoo consistency is thick and easy to foam up though it doesn't really lather up that much, which is sad cos i like a head full of lather. The conditioner is also thinner than most, so i use quite a large amount of it than i normally do with other conditioners.
My hair has always been manageable and i think it is one of my best assets because i don't have split ends, i never get bad hair days and my hair is generally pretty fuss-free. Oh and shiny and healthy too. That is really great, but also not so good when im reviewing products because i can't really see the full power the hair product can unleash. For example, if your hair is naturally very healthy, the shampoo won't do much difference to it but if your hair is dry and unhealthy, a good shampoo will rectify that. So with unhealthy hair, you would be able to see which shampoo is really good or not.
I wasn't sure about this shampoo, but my cousin came over and tried it and said she really liked it. So i can say it's a safe bet this shampoo is good cos' my cousin is very particular about her hair too.
L'Occitane isn't the cheapest brand around, but it's one of the best and they give you rly good quality stuff.

Crabtree and evelyn Lavender Bath & Shower Gel

As you know, im a big fan of Lavender. This is a great body shower gel, though nothing spectacular. Consistency of the gel is good, fragrance good too. Doesn't leave an overpowering scent on your skin when you're done.
I recommend using this more in a bath then in the shower, because then you get to fully maximise its great power to product bubbles and soak in the scent of Lavender.

Coastal Scents 28 piece neutral palette

Given description (off the website):
This 28 piece eye shadow with defining colors comes with an assortment of neutral tones in shimmer and matte effect. The case is matte black & measures 9" x 6", there is no mirror inside, the shadow pan measures 1" round.

Several of the powders will work as a shadow or a blush! This palette is perfect for everyone when applying a natural effect makeup. Upcoming brides to be will especially benefit from the colors this palette has to offer.

When i received this palette i was really excited. I love neutral tones because they are so easy to work with and you can really create a dramatic look by blending all the colours or just a light and easy shade on the lids for work.

I would absolutely recommend this to working women who want to jazz up their look but are not too sure what colours to use and also to mothers who are afraid to experiment with strong, bright colours. This palette is PERFECT.

The palette has the perfect blend of neutral shades, some dark and smoky, some burgundy and some peachy. Beiges and browns dominate. I reaaaaalllllly like this palette.

The colours in the palette are exactly the same as the picture they showed me on the website, which is also the picture at the start of this post.

Swatches. Moving clockwise from top left: red, green, pink, blue

I really love the peachy shimmery one which is the one marked with blue (also the bottom left swatch). The colours are without primer, so you can see how pigmented they are. I also don't need so much to achieve such intensity.

The best part? The price. Retailing at $21.95 USD, you seriously can't get a better deal. Honestly. For this much colour, intensity and pigment, you really can't get a better deal than this. I suggest you order yours soon before it runs out! As for me, im probably going to have great fun experimenting with all the colours!

The only bad thing is the case. The matte case shows fingerprints and smudges easily, in fact, even more so than the glossy case, but this is no biggie. You can easily clean the outside with a damp cloth.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 stars. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and everyone. Everybody needs a good neutral shade palette, and for this price?! Definite must have.

Coastal Scents makeup palettes

Im going to be reviewing the Coastal Scents makeup palettes in the next 3 posts. I was on the internet and i kept reading and hearing about their 88 makeup palette that is sold for very cheap off the coastal scents website. I went on to their website ( www.coastalscents.com ) and promptly ordered a good 8 products from their website. I will post reviews on them as soon as possible, but for now, i will just be reviewing the palettes. I had previously never heard of this brand because it has not arrived in Singapore. I think they do their business mainly over the internet.

As i said, this blog does not only review body/face products, i also do makeup products, just that i haven't really started on them yet.

I would like to praise Coastal Scents for it's efficient service, easy ordering and fast delivery. I received my items in 3 days and 2 free samples! And all this for a really low price! I ordered them and had my cousin bring it over to me from America. I don't know how expensive shipping would be from there to Singapore, but i doubt it's going to be cheap. Anyhow, i'm still really glad i managed to get these products. The palettes were smaller than i expected, but i still have yet to see the colour playout.

Stay tuned for the reviews coming right up!

Shu Uemura depsea moisture lip serum

Okay one thing about this is there isn't a given description. Okay maybe yes there is but it's all in japanese! One thing i ABOSULUTELY cannot stand in Shu Uemura's products is the often confusing names and that everything is written in japanese, except for the name. I love their products, but i really cannot stand the fact that they write everything in japanese.

Wouldn't you hate it if after you bought it you went home and forgot how to use it and when you search the back of the product for instructions there are none? Often, they call their toners 'lotion' and their lotions 'treatment' and all that, till you don't really know which is which and what is what. So when buying Shu uemura products, take care to ask for CLEAR instructions from the salesgirl, because if not, you probably won't know how to use the product when you get back, unless you're japanese.

This lip serum, according to the salesgirl, is supposed to plump your lips and remove creases on your lips so that your lipstick goes on smoothly. In a way, it's a primer for lipsticks.

The serum comes out as white, but there were times when i squeezed it out and only a clear liquid came out. After that, before i used this product i would shake it, to prevent any separation of liquid inside. You are supposed to apply a thin layer of this serum on your lips.

Tastes a little strange, and smells a little strange, but it's nothing overpowering. Take care not to put too much. Even when i apply a little, it takes some time to absorb in and even then, it leaves a thin film over my lips. Don't worry, it's nothing greasy or sticky.

One good thing i love about this is that it provides your lips moisture before you put your lipstick. I wouldn't advice putting lip balm before putting on lipstick, even if you do want to moisturize your lips because the lipstick wouldn't have much hold on your lips. Therefore, this product comes in handy. It smoothens out your lips so that lipstick goes on smoother.

This would be really handy if you wear long lasting lipsticks. Im not sure whether it will affect the holding power of your lipstick, but it will definitely provide some moisture for your lips because i know long lasting lipsticks tend to dry out your lips really quickly.

Another thing i love about this product is the applicator. Applying this serum is really a piece of cake and very easy to do.

I cannot remember how much this cost, but it was definitely not cheap.

Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ great if you wear a lot of lipstick everyday but not necessary.
