L'Occitane Verbena Shower Gel

Given description:
Fresh, clean body shampoo loved equally by men and women. Each squeeze of the non-breakable plastic bottle releases the crisp, citrus scent of L'Occitane verbena. Essential oils of verbena, orange, geranium and lemon tree smooth and nurture even the most sensitive skin, and permeate the room with a winning aroma.

What caught me most about this product was the scent. This body gel smells extremely fresh, like lemongrass, citrus fruits, and lemon.

When used, my skin was left lightly perfumed and invigorated. I like the consistency of this gel too, light but not too liquidy. What was good about this was also the fact that it can be easily washed off and really refreshes you. Would be good after a long day perspiring and sweating under the sun.

The scent of this product is also pretty unisex. Guys can definitely use this without the fear of smelling too sweet like a woman.

Body Shop strawberry puree body lotion

Given Description:
A light, creamy and easily-absorbed all-over body moisturizer with sumptuously sweet strawberry scent, which helps condition, soften and smooth the skin. It contains strawberry extract and moisturizing Community Trade organic soy oil.

Pump a generous amount of lotion into your hand and smooth onto the skin. Apply after a bath or shower, as often as required.

Since I'm a fan of strawberries and it's scent, i had high expectations for this product. Sadly however, I was quite disappointed.

The lotion came out with a pretty good consistency, but after rubbing it all over my skin, it becomes sort of watery, like it's water-based or something. Anyway, i didn't like the way it spread at all, too thin and too watery. One good thing though, was that it was absorbed really quickly and left NO grease at all. Some moisturizing products claim to leave no greasy residue but they do, whereas for this, this doesn't at all. So you will have no trouble turning doorknobs, or leaving grease stains on seats when you sit down.

The scent wasn't really nice either. Too artificial, and had a weird smell.

Rating: ♥♥ It fulfils ita job as a moisturizer, and leaves no greasy residue, but I wouldn't recommend this nor would i buy this ever again.

L'Occitane Honey & Lemon Foaming Jelly

Given description:
This hair and body shower gel is enriched with pure honey from Provence that gently cleanses the skin, leaving it deliciously perfumed. Lemon essential oil makes hair shinny and radiant.

I totally love the bottle that has such a sweet honeycomb design and lovely golden colour, but what impresses me the most about this product is the scent, which i am very particular about.

This product has a very light honey scent, not much of a lemon smell though. It is not too overpowering, and seriously smells so sweet bees could eat you.

Another great thing i love about this product is that not only can it be used as a body wash, but you can also use this as a shampoo and its moisturizing for both your skin and your body! Doesn't leave it feeling taut and too squeaky clean. I don't like feeling squeaky clean because it feels like moisture has been stripped out of your skin.

This product is great cos if you love the scent (and i'm very sure you will), you can have both your hair and body smelling the same way. It kinda sucks when your body smells weird, due to all the different smells and in the end you just smell like you came out of the washing machine. Okay i think this is a rather weird example.

Soo anyhoo, i really like this body gel, in fact it is one of my favourites.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥ Kudos to L'Occitane for making such a great product again! Never fail to disappoint really.

Davidoff Cool Water Game For Her Body Lotion

There isn't a given description for this so i'll just put in my two-cents worth.
The lotion comes a very sporty looking tube, haha im not sure if theres such a thing as 'sporty looking tube' but it is a good size and very easy to tote around.
The lotion is incredibly light, almost gel like texture and spreads very easily. You only need a small amount for a large area and it blends in abnormally fast, leaving your skin lightly scented and smooth.
Now for the scent, I'm not very good at defining scents i must admit. I really don't know what to say about this scent. Smells very fresh...very nice thats for sure! Haha! If you'd really like to know about this product, i suggest you go to a perfume counter that sells this perfume (not the body lotion) and smell the scent. It smells exactly the same.
If you really like this product and the scent, you can layer the lotion underneath the perfume, which would really make the scent stronger and last longer.
Can't remember the retailing price.
Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ really good as a lotion because it doesn't leave any sticky residue all over your body.

Benefit Eye Bright

Given Description:
This pale pink, brightening stick is a purse-sized pick-me-up for tired eyes.

To use: For an instant wide-awake look, apply a stroke to the inner and outer corners of each eye and blend.

This pencil is wider than most eyeliners, though this is not an eyeliner itself, and is about 11.5 cm (4 1/2 inches). The wooden pencil is easy to hold and grip, and it kind of reminds me of a crayon actually! It's also quite cute, pink font against a black background.

I got this because even though i do not have obvious eye circles, i still have them and i was looking for a way to conceal them. I do not think this is meant to be an under eye circle concealer. It's just something to brighten it up.

The colour is pale pink, with very slight shimmer in it. If i had not looked closer at it, i would have thought it was a pure matte pink pencil. I followed the directions and applied a little of this onto the inner and outer corner of the eye. The pencil is creamy, and comes out easily on to your skin. I applied this onto one eye only, to see if if there was a significant difference and blended. Then i checked the other eye and noticed one thing.... the eye i had applied this to still looked the same as the other eye. There was no significant difference.

Then i decided to line the bottom part of my eye with it. Bad decision. It wasn't very easy to blend, because i do not have a very oily under eye area so i kept tugging at my skin while trying to blend, which is a no-no. Tugging at your eye area incessantly will cause it to wrinkle and age very quickly. After my unsuccessful attempt to blend the stark pink line, i compared both eyes. Now my eye looked smaller than the other.

This was honestly not what i expected when i got this product. I would say this was a waste of my money, which could have been spent on better products.

I got this at the benefit counter in Tangs for $41 SGD. Definitely not worth it.

Rating: ♥ Nothing special at all.

L'Occitane Crushed-Grape Polish

Given Description:
Enriched with organic grape juice from Provence, fine particles of grape seed and walnut shell (naturally exfoliating) and grape seed oil, Crushed-Grape Polish gently sloughs away dead skin cells, stimulates microcirculation and helps eliminate cellular waste.

Massage into dry or slightly wet skin, using a circular motion. Concentrate on areas that tend to be rough (elbows, knees, soles of feet). Rinse thoroughly. Use once or twice a week.

This grape line in L'Occitane is supposed to be part of some 30-day grape cure. Apparently the Grape Range is used in an intensive detoxifying and revitalising 30-day program, where you only eat grapes to deeply cleanse your body. Wow, thats a long time to be eating grapes isn't it? I think you'd be thoroughly sick of grapes by the time you're done.

Anyway, i didn't do the grape cure because i simply do not have the discipline nor do i believe in just feeding myself grapes for a long period and nothing else. I think i would just collapse from not eating any other food.

I decided to get this scrub because it smelt AMAZING and the packaging was very pretty. The opening of this product is a silver screw cap at the base. You turn it anti-clockwise, and squeeze. The product would then come out. It's not a cap which you can totally remove.

The beads were a little too fine for me. I prefer stronger rougher scrubs but it's really up to your preference. This scrub has fine scrubbers in it, and it's very gentle, though i feel it was quite difficult to scrub my feet with such a gentle scrub. The scent is great. Smells a little like grape, though not in the red wine type of way.

Scrub in a circular motion all round your body, concentrating on the rough areas like the knees, elbows etc. I recommend you wash off with cold water, very refreshing, unless you're in a cold country. In Singapore, it's sunny everyday so a refreshing cold shower is always needed :)

This leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft. Because its such a fine scrub, i use quite a lot of it each time round. I exfoliate twice a week sometimes, and if im feeling lazy, than once a week. I would recommend at least once a week.

Costs more than $40 SGD i think? I'm really unsure of the price so it's best you check it out at the L'Occitane stores. There are two in Ngee Ann City.

rating: ♥♥♥♥ 4 stars, but i would have preferred a rougher scrub

Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

Given Description:
Best if you want to: Combat and soothe the first signs of a blemish with a natural, targeted treatment that you can dab onto your skin.

How it works:

Triple-action organic Community Trade tea tree oil, which is naturally antiseptic and soothing, controls oil, combats existing blemishes and prevents new ones without over-drying skin.
Pre-blended formulation contains pure tea tree oil diluted to 15%.
Tea tree oil has been used for centuries for its soothing and refreshing antiseptic properties.

I'm sure this is just pure tea tree oil without any other plant extracts or whatever because it certainly smells like pure tea tree oil. I guess this would be considered rather smelly by those who do not like the scent of tea tree oil, but it smells totally fine to me.

One thing i must commend about this product is it's child safety lock. The cap has to be pushed down to be able to turn it. I realised it's mostly products containing tea tree oil that have a child safety lock, so i guess it must be really fatal when ingested? I don't know about that. Just don't try to drink it please.

The mouth of this product is not very large. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but when you unscrew it, there is this tiny tube there from which the product comes out. It's not a very large opening, which is good because every drop is precious. The bottle is only about 10 ml, so really every drop makes a difference.
Because it is only 10ml, and if you have a lot of blemishes, you will find that you use this product up pretty quickly.

The tiny opening makes it easy to apply this product. I normally drop one or two drops onto a small bit of cotton wool and dab the tea tree oil onto my blemishes this way. It's not advisable to use tissue paper, because the tissue will just absorb the tea tree oil and not leave any for you to dab onto your blemishes, which is a huge waste. The tea tree oil might sting a little at first, but you'll get used to it.

After using this, i found my pimples reduced significantly in size and gradually just disappeared. However i would advise you not to apply this product on any other part of your face, because it is VERY drying. Let me just warn you about that. It is supposed to dry up your pimples so when you put it on spots that do not have pimples, you're gonna have really dry skin.

You can get this at Bodyshop shops at i think $14 SGD? I'm not very sure but i know it's definitely less than $20. Try not to spill any, because this bottle contains very little only.

L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream

Given Description:
A signature L'Occitane essential. A worldwide best-seller. Blends the nourishing benefits of Shea Butter with soothing A.O.C. lavender essential oil and rosemary extract. Contains vitamin E, shown to help encourage cell renewal, and--for sheer pleasure--bestows the subtle fragrances of the Mediterranean upon your senses. Feel transported to Provence with every application.

Massage into hands any time skin feels dry or "tight." The size and light weight of Lavender Hand Cream make it ideal as a travel companion, and to keep in car, gym bag and office. Also try: Lavender Relaxing Foot Cream, enriched with refreshing mint extract.

I honestly truly love all L'Occitane product packaging. It is all packaged in a way that seems very country feel-good, and stepping into their shop is always nice. The silver tube with a label that looks handmade (though im sure it's not) is very pretty, definitely something i wouldn't mind whipping out of my bag.

The cream is white, and is thick and creamy. Leaves your hands feeling extremely well moisturized and taken care of, not to mention soft and nicely scented. This is good if you live in a cold country and need to protect your hands from the harsh winter. The cream absorbs in within a minute.

What i love about this cream is also the scent. It smells like lavender essential oil, and when you close your eyes and breathe in deeply you honestly feel like you are lying among hilltops blanketed in lavender in France, the breeze gentle and the stalks of lavender swaying. Yes, the effects of Lavender is indeed calming to one's mind and soul.

The scent is strong, but not overpowering. There was once i used this in my class, and within 30 seconds everyone was turning around and looking around and wondering where the smell was coming from. And many commented that it smelled good :). I didn't expect the smell to reach everyones nostrils.

Retails for $30 SGD. Not cheap for a handcream definitely. you can get this at any L'Occitane store or even online at their website, though that website only applies for USA residents.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts. You get what you're paying for and this is definitely the best handcream i've ever used in my life, hands down.

Manicare Nail Polish Remover (with tea tree oil)

sorry the pic isn't very clear.

Given description:
Super Fast Acetone effectively removes nail enamel. Enriched with tea tree oil which penetrates below the surface to nourish & protect nails & cuticles. Antibacterial and antifungal properties. Contains Vitamin E to protect & enrich nails & cuticles. Leaves nails looking healthy will not dry or whiten nails.
Not suitable for use on artificial nails.

Okay, this nail polish remover removes nail polish pretty effectively, though i have come across removers that remove nail polish so much faster than this. I bought this because i saw on the packaging that it had tea tree oil and vitamin E, so hey, since it's acetone, at least i can compensate by the fact that it is 'enriching' my nails as i clean.

It is always better to use acetone-free nail polish removers because basically the acetone dries your nails out. So if you are a nail polish fanatic, always painting your nails and changing your nail colour, it's best to get an acetone-free nail polish remover. (unless you go for manicures all the time, where the manicurist will remove your nail polish with their own products)

Even though it's better to use an acetone-free remover, the thing i HATE about acetone-free removers is that they are always soooo oily and you have to wait a long time with the cotton pad soaked in remover on your nail before you can wipe it off. It's much less effective than acetone removers. So it's either you protect your nails but get frustrated with the lousiness of acetone-free removers, or you damage your nails but get to clean your nails fast and effectively.

The thing i absolutely hate about this product is the smell. I'm okay with the scent of tea tree, but this, this is a completely different story. You can't really smell the bad smell from the bottle, but boy, after you've used it, the bad smell just lingers on your hands. It smells like normal tea tree oil from the bottle, but it smells like something rotten and sour on your fingers. And no matter how hard you try to wash your hands after removing your nail polish, the smell will linger on your hands for at least 2 days. So everytime i bring my hands close to my face i smell a whiff of that terrible smell. it's horrible, trust me.

One good thing about this is it's child safety lock. So if you have children and you don't want them accidently drinking your bottle of remover, it's good to get something with a child safety lock. Means to open the bottle, you have to press down hard on the cap, and twist while holding down.

It's not very expensive, but i can't remember the price. You should be able to get this at Watsons or Guardian.

Rating: ♥ 1 heart. You can really get much better nail polish removers at the price. I though that since this is Manicare, a pretty well-known brand for it's manicuring tools, the remover would be good but i was wrong. not that it doesn't remove the polish properly, but it just smells so bad. I would recommend you NOT to get it.

Dermaveen Oatmeal Shampoo

Given description:
This shampoo is suitable for normal to dry hair particularly dry, itchy or sensitive scalp, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis of the scalp. It is a natural soap-free alternative to harsh, drying shampoo.

It contains 1% colloidal oatmeal and PCA 1% in a bland, aqueous base to provide a rich lather.

Directions for use : Apply to wet hair, lather and rinse gently after a few minutes. Can be used everyday as a scalp cleanser or shampoo alternative for adults, children or babies. Follow with DermaVeen Oatmeal Conditioner if required.

Colloidal Oatmeal is a natural, soap-free cleanser which restores normal pH of the skin with emollients that soothe and soften dry skin.

DermaVeen Colloidal Oatmeal is dry-milled from the purest grade of oatgrain. In the manufacturing process, the colloidal prodcuing fraction is separated out as a gum substance which is high in vitamin B complex and contains about 10% oat oil.

When colloidal oatmeal is mixed with water it forms a milky dispersion which, after bathing, leaves a film on the skin. This has three major benefits for treating Eczema or Chicken Pox.

* Colloidal Oatmeal has an anti-itch action that eliminates the sensation of itch and reduces scratching.

* Colloidal Oatmeal has a buffering action which restores the normal
pH balance to the skin (pH 5-6). That is, it restores the acid mantle of the
skin. (Dry skin and eczema skin is usually mildly alkaline).

* Colloidal Oatmeal has a cleansing action by absorbing and removing
grime from the skin and so avoids the use of harsh alkaline soaps.

So as you can see from the very medical-like description, this is a shampoo used for medical purposes. No, not for lice, ticks and what-nots, but for people with sensitive skin.

As i had the eczema bout on my face the other time, i was recommended to use this shampoo as this is a mild shampoo suitable for people who are sensitive to chemicals (like soap). When i was given this shampoo at the pharmacy, you could say my face literally screwed up in disgust. I love fruity floral smells, so you could say the 'Oatmeal' part didn't particularly appeal to me. But i had no choice.

The shampoo is pearly white, and has normal thick consistency. It smells like oatmeal definitely, but it's okay. Not really bad in fact. it smells like a more souped up version of oatmeal. The shampoo wasn't harsh, but it really washed my hair out clean, and you need to use quite a big amount to wash shoulder length hair because the shampoo isn't the lathery sort.

Didn't leave my hair smelling like anything, no not even oatmeal.

This bottle is about 250 ml, should last you for 2 months or more (if you wash your hair daily).

Costs $16.40 SGD. I bought this at the pharmacy in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, so they might have jacked the price up abit.

Rating: ♥♥♥ 3 hearts. I wouldn't use it unless i HAD to. This is probably good for those who have sensitive skin and can't use anything else.

L'Occitane en Provence Brightening Cleansing Foam

given description:
The BRIGHTENING CLEANSING FOAM is a very gentle face cleanser, enriched with Immortelle floral water and citrus fruit peel to lighten the complexion.

use every morning and evening on wet skin, avoiding the eye contour area. Gently massage, then rinse off with water. Suitable for all skin types.

The cleanser is dispensed as a foam, and has a very light, subtle floral fragrance. After using this, my face looks brighter. I don't know about clearer, but it definitely looks brighter. Leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean, but without that taut feeling that some cleansers give. Really good.

Costs about $48 i think?

Benefit some kind-a gorgeous

Given description:
an amazing foundation faker

This cream-to-powder formula means silky, even perfection for your complexion. So translucent, it's THE finish for most skin tones. It's an instant "beauty boost" any time of day!

Tips and tricks: Apply evenly all over face with accompanying sponge or fingertips.

This might be something different from what you guys expect. This
is my first makeup product review here, actually i've been planning to review some makeup but i've been so caught up doing other things and reviewing other skincare products that i totally neglect one of the most important things a woman needs: makeup.

Every woman needs makeup to look good, perhaps some are born with natural great genes and great skin but others (like me) aren't so fortunate so we rely on other factors to make ourselves look better. Some may say that hey, makeup is artificial and all that and we should just be ourselves but whats wrong with making ourselves look better? I don't see any problem with that and when you look good, you also feel good about yourself so it's a win-win situation.

I was first attracted to this product because of it's packaging. I swear, Benefit has one of the best packaging! Kitschy, cute, retro... their products always look good. So i was wondering, does it perform as well as it looks?

I decided to pick this up because i needed a foundation too. This is called a 'foundation faker'. Abit strange, cos i've never heard of a foundation faker. If it's not a foundation, then what is it? So anyway, i just use it as a foundation, be it fake or not.

This has a nice big clear mirror inside, which is great because i really dislike it when they only provide you with a mirror where you can only see half of your face. There are two separate compartments in this, the one above contains the foundation while when you lift the first compartment up, theres a storage area for the sponge.

The sponge is rather thin, but i suppose it will do. You can always substitute it with another sponge if you wish, there are no rules.

The 'foundation' has a very silky texture, it glides onto your skin. I suppose they call it a foundation faker because it does not have the texture of a normal foundation. This is NOT powder, let me tell you, nor is it liquid foundation. It is more like a cream foundation. It goes on very smoothly onto the skin, and blends in very well. The thing i like about this is that it changes into powder, yet doesn't leave a very thick powdery mask on your face. You can slop this on, and it still won't make you look like an extra from a chinese opera concert.

This also does not feel too drying, and i really can't stop raving about how blendable this foundation is, yet it manages to hide most of my blemishes. I absolutely adore this to be honest.

However, this does have one bad point. It smells terrible. I was applying this on my face the first time i tried it out and then i was wondering ,' What is that weird smell?' and i realised it was the foundation itself. Yeah, i guess it takes some getting used to. There isn't even any pleasant scent in the foundation itself that certain ppl may like, it just smells bad. So yup, a warning there.

Apart from the scent of this product, i don't regret getting this at all. This foundation is awesome, giving me the non-caked up look that im looking for. This does not last for very long though, and if you're in the hot sun, the foundation would probably just slide off so this isn't the toughest one in the market.

Retails for $60. Not cheap but i like it. You can get this at any Benefit store. Theres one in Tangs (spore). You can also check out their website at

http://www.benefitcosmetics.com

Rating: ♥♥♥♥ ♥/ 4 and a half stars. Half a star gone for the awful smell.

L'Occitane Olive Paste for Hair High Shine Mask

Given description:
Light and silky, the olive paste is suitable for all hair types. Rich in oxygenated A.O.C, olive oil and olive water, Olive Paste leaves hair soft and radiant.

As a twice weekly conditioning treatment, apply to clean, wet hair and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off.

This paste is thick, which is a good texture because you don't want something to runny that will cause your hair to drip the mask off. Especially since you have to apply this to wet hair, if the mask is runny, it will definitely drip off onto your clothes.

Smells just like olives, which may not be everyones favourite scent. The smell is very strong, but when you wash it off your hair smells good, so thats okay.

You can leave it on for 5-10 minutes, as the directions suggest, or longer, which i always do. Sometimes i put it on my hair and forget all about it till it practically dries on my hair. Not a very good idea. I recommend putting this on your hair for at least 20 minutes then wash it off. It's a good idea if you want to use a facial mask along with it. I find this saves time. For example you only need to leave your mask on for say 10 minutes, then you put it 10 minutes before you're going to wash your hair then you can wash your face and hair together. Besides, it's always good to do it together so that after that you can dry your hair and do your daily skincare routine without having to wait an extra 10 minutes.

After washing and drying your hair becames really really smooth. Honest. This effect lasts for about two days? And it makes your hair really shiny, so i'd say this is quite worth it.

Costs more than $50 SGD, so it's not really cheap but it is good!

Rating: ♥♥♥♥ It's really good if you want your hair to be soft and silky the day after.

Garnier Light Dark Spot Corrector Pen

Given Description:
Garnier Light SOS Dark Spot-Corrector Pen acts to reduce the appearance of dark spots, making them less visible and reducing progressively their intensity.

Its convenient applicator pen allows a targeted application directly on the brown spots to diffuse complementary actives:

Instant Whitening Agent to fade off brown spot & make it less visible.

Pure Lemon Essence to help accelerate dark cells exfoliation & stimulate fresher, lighter skin to resurface.

I was honestly truly let down by this product. After using it for such a long time, i saw no difference in the colour and intensity of my blemishes. Even though this is from the same line as the sunblock which i absolutely love, this was a total flop.

I would not advise any of you to get this, as i do not see any significant change/difference.

rating: ♥ 1 heart for the great scent

* Garnier Light complete whitening and protecting moisturizer

I am unable to provide you with a picture of the product, however i can still continue with my review ;)

The reason i bought this product was because i saw that this was SPF30. I don't know why, maybe it's just me, but i feel that SPF 30 is better than SPF 15. The higher the SPF, the better. I know it may not be true, and people use products with higher SPF if they do sports or are out in the sun very often, which is not me at all. Maybe it's just psychological thinking, that i feel more protected when i use a product with higher SPF. however, no harm in thinking so, the bottom line is to use a product with SPF and you should be fine.

I really loved this when i started using it. This sunblock was so much better than my previous one (a neutrogena one). The texture of this product is really really light, which is great because i don't like to start off a day in school looking brighter than the sun with that oily sheen on my face that some sunblock products just give. This product absorbs quickly, and has a light, citrusy lemon scent. Not too overpowering though.

This is really cheap too, costing less than $15 (if i remember correctly), and you should be able to get this at Watsons or Guardian.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ Really like this.

* Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

Given description:
Your skin naturally renews itself every four to five weeks. So treat it as gently as possible with Cetaphil® Moisturizers, originally formulated for dermatologists to treat dry, sensitive skin. Cetaphil® Moisturizers are fragrance-free to prevent irritation, with emollients and humectants to rejuvenate your skin.

Non-comedogenic Cetaphil® Moisturizing Lotion is an elegant, non-greasy formulation that is mild, non-irritating and long lasting. The cosmetically appealing formulation contains emollients and humectants to bind moisture to the skin. The fragrance-free moisturizer contains no lanolins or parabens that could irritate sensitive skin.

Now all those who suffer from allergies or simply have sensitive skin are probably well versed with the brand Cetaphil. Cetaphil is a brand all dermatologists recommend for those who have allergies/sensitive skin etc. It is a fragrance free, non-comedogenic, and paraben/lanolin free.

This has no scent (duh, because it's fragrance free), and has a semi gel-like texture. I know that might be kind of hard to visualize, but yeah, it's sort of like a cross between a gel and a cream. Does not really feel too oily on my skin thankfully.

This cream was a saviour during my rash days, when the doctor prescribed it to me and i was unable to use anything else. My skin was dry and itchy and i could only use this so yes, thanks Cetaphil!

Unfortunately, i have the worst skin. Eczema, oily and pimply. After using this cream, my skin became really smooth. Not that there was no pimples, i did have pimples, but the texture of the pimple-free areas was really smooth. I was quite pleasantly surprised because i didn't expect a product that has no fancy ingredients or names to do such wonders for my skin.

This product costs between $15-$20 SGD. You should be able to get this at any pharmacy.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ i would really recommend this to those with sensitive or allergy prone skin and are just looking for a moisturizer that won't irritate their skin.

* Olay complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15

Moisture - Olay moisture for all day hydration.

Result - Glowing, beautiful, healthy skin.

Well firstly i want to clarify the asterix in the title. As i said in the previous post, i recently suffered from a eczema outbreak that i found out was due to dustmites. However, during that period when i had the eczema on my face, i was using a couple of products. The products that i used during that period are marked with an asterix, so my review on them might be partially biased as i thought that one of them could have caused the rash.

Okay i was using this product way before i had an outbreak, so i don't think this contributed to it. It states here that it is for sensitive skin, but im not sure how true that is.

The texture of this cream is light. I used it as a day and night cream, because i didn't think it was necessary for me to have a proper night cream. The smell of this is a little odd, undefinable. Absorbs fairly quickly into skin, leaving an oily feel and sheen to your skin. I would suggest not applying too much to avoid such things from happening.

I quite liked this cream when i started using it. In fact, this is my first moisturizing lotion! I'm not using this now anymore, because the doctor prescribed something else to me to use when we were trying to determine the cause of my rash.

This product is cheap, so i would recommend this if you are on a tight budget. Works well too.

You can get this at any pharmacy like Guardian or Watsons.

sorry.

Sorry for such a lengthy hiatus due to many factors. I had my EOY exams recently so i had no time to come and post. Also, i had eczema on my face (yes i know, the horrors!). At first, i thought it was some allergic reaction to a sunblock product, but then i went to the Doctor's and found out that it was eczema. A real bummer, because if it's an allergic reaction it won't be for life but eczema? Eczema is for life.

The eczema wasn't caused by any product (THANKFULLY), but because of dustmites. I don't know whether to be happy or sad with my condition, because dustmites are everywhere and if i have such a high allergy to them, i can get the eczema flare up anytime, which sucks.

Ahh well, at least i can still use products. Thats one comfort. So im going to be posting soon, maybe even now, so yup, look forward for more updates! I have soooo many products to review, so i just want to make time to do what i love doing best, trying them out. :)

stay tuned :)

Bodyshop Olive Glossing Shampoo & Conditioner

Olive Glossing Shampoo

Conditioner

Given Description:
Specialist glossing shampoo and conditioner, with Community Trade organic olive oil, to add shine and put the oomph back into dull, lifeless hair. With added wheat amino acids for softness, Community Trade organic honey to condition, and antioxidant olive leaf extract to help protect from environmental damage, it's a veritable cocktail of Mother Nature's finest.

Well this description was taken off the website, Bodyshop doesn't normally do descriptions on their product packaging. They don't normally have instructions on their products as well, so thats a bit of inconvienience. Just remember to ask the salesgirls at the shop how to use the product when you buy it, and write the instructions down if you forget things easily. Or you can always look on the website for instructions. However nothing beats having the intructions on the bottle itself.

They don't have nice descriptions either, which is a pity, cos im the type of customer that likes reading what the product is all about and such. I always like Origins product descriptions and L'Occitane ones too.

Anyway, back to the product. This has an okay scent, not very strong. I don't think it'll be good for washing away strong odours from your hair, like cigarette smoke but im not very sure cos i've never tried doing that. The scent isn't very strong thats all.

The consistency of the shampoo is good, enough foam and not too liquidy. A 50 cent coin amount is enough for my shoulder length crop. I know they always tell you to use less than a 20 ct amount if you have shorter hair but honestly, i don't like coming out of the shower feeling as though my hair hasn't been washed clean.

This shampoo is gentle enough for everyday use. I wash my hair everyday, and it doesn't seem to get to dried out by this shampoo. The conditioner is also not bad.

You can get this at any Bodyshop store. I forgot the price though, oops. There are Bodyshop stores in Kovan, Tampines Mall, Paragon and etc. They have lots of stores here in spore, so you don't have to worry about not being able to find their shop.

Rating: ♥♥♥ An average shampoo. I would say you can get better shampoos at cheaper prices

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey moisturising body lotion and body cream

Left: Body lotion Right: Body cream

Now this is a real step up from the last post. I really like the container of the body cream. No i don't mean the box, i mean the very container. I find it very futuristic, nice.

Anyway, overall i prefer the lotion better. The cream is good, thick, but it smells different from the container and when you apply it on your skin. Smells just a teeny bit off, but still detectable. I would say the scent of these two products reminds me of bed linen and flowers. These creams are hybrids of the original scent L'Eau D'Issey perfume so im sure you'd know these smell good.

The lotion feels more like a gel to me. Very spreadable and absorbtion rate is quick. The lotion smells better too, i reckon, though they are both supposed to be the same.

Available at departmental stores at Issey Miyake counters.

Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ Decent body lotion and cream that smells good.

SJ Spa Ice Cream Dream Bath Fizzers

Given Description:

Ice Cream Dream Fruit Sorbet Scented Fizzers

A bath time treat so luxurious you will feel like you are bathing in champagne!

The packaging of this item is extremely adorable, thats the reason why i bought this in the first place. Pink cover with polka dotted base and such a nice name, whats not to love?
However, this only proves one point. Don't be fooled by appearances.
As much anticipation i had for this product, which looked promising, i was severely let down by the quality of it. The description of it on the packaging was so tempting, but it turned out to be everything other than that.
Sure, they fizz like what they are supposed to do. However, the smell is totally off-putting. I wouldn't say it is SMELLY, but i'd say the fragrance is nothing nice. And these fizzers don't even fizz right to the end, they fizz partially, leaving a block of it unfizzed. I don't know why.
I bought this in Century 21's basement for bout 5 USD. Even though its cheap, it's not worth it AT ALL.
Rating: ♥ one of the lowest ratings ever.

Victoria Secret Body Lotions

From left to right: Pear Glace, Endless Love, Sweet Daydream, My Desire, Strawberry and Champagne

Okay over here i have a couple of body lotions from Victoria's Secret. You maybe wondering why the two bottles on the right look different from the rest but let me assure you they are all from the same line. The two bottles on the right were bought in Canada while the rest in New York. I must say i prefer the design on the Canadian ones though.

Their body lotions are really good. Light and most of all, wonderfully scented. Let me start of by listing what i think of when i smell each lotion.

[1] Pear Glace: I think of forests, pine, body soap, the ocean.

Hmm so i think its rather safe to say that it smells of nature. Very foresty and earthy yet oceany. Hahahaha.

[2] Endless Love: Smells fruity, like Herbal Botanics shampoo

[3] Sweet Daydream: Has a strong fragrance. Undefinably though but still nice.

[4] My Desire: This strangely smells like nail polish from the bottle. However when you apply it on your skin it has a subtle nice fragrance. The lotion also seems lighter than the rest.

[5] Strawberry and Champagne: None of these two come to mind when i smell this. Instead, i just smell something sweet. This doesn't have a very strong definable scent.

Overall, i rate Pear Glace, My Desire and Strawberries and Champagne as my favourite because the fragrance appeals to me the most. Pop by a Victoria Secret Store and find out what you prefer. It's quite hard to choose because Victoria's Secret always comes up with the best fragrances. Their perfumes are heavenly.

Theres one in Herald Sq NY just so you know. The store is two storeys, so prefer to spend lots of time shopping!

Crabtree and Evelyn Naturals Botanical Body Butter in Cocoa Butter, Nutmeg and Cardamom

Given Description:
TYPE: Cocoa Butter
ORIGIN: Central, South America
BENEFITS: Absorbs quickly, helps to moisturize dry, stressed skin and minimize stretch marks on your body.

Cocoa trees generally grow in Central and South America and produce a brown fruit with about three dozen long seeds (cocoa beans). This super body butter emollient is actually made during the manufacture of cocoa and chocolate. Although a solid at room temperature, Cocoa Butter melts on contact with the body, so absorbs quickly into the skin. Cocoa Butter is a good choice for body butters formulated for dry or stressed skin and is used by many women to minimize stretch marks

Sounds great doesn't it? This was given to me by my mum's friend, so it came in a really nice box as you can see.

This is how it looks like. Pity the jar is so small. I don't think you can really see from the picture, but it definitely is smaller than your average jar of body butter.

The cream is cream slightly tan colour. The smell of cardamom and nutmeg is really strong at first, but when you apply this on your body it smells more like cocoa. Let me tell you all, this cream is a GEM okay. It's REALLY good.

The texture is kind of hard at first, not really easy to scoop up, but it spreads really well on your body. As the description says, it melts on your body and becomes easier to spread as compared to when your scooping out of the jar.

I don't know if many will take to the scent, im fine with it but i guess those around my age like below 20 wouldn't like it so much cos it doesn't smell like your conventional sweet fruity lotion. But im fine with it really.

Takes a large amount to cover your legs arms and neck. This body butter is moisturizing and at the same time, not as greasy as others. It's taken me YEARS to find something like this. I've never found a body butter that is super moisturizing yet not greasy before, never even my life and this is one that is absolutely fantastic. Im telling you, use this and you'll love it. Doesn't stain my pajamas either, and they are satin so i guess this must be pretty good.

My stretch marks (yes im embarrassed to admit that i do have some around my thigh area) have also reduced a lot, not sure whether it's due to this cream but they have reduced in appearance. Don't know how much this cream costs, but i think it should be around $50? The last body butter from Crabtree and Evelyn was around that price range anyway. Pricey but GOOD. Trust me, you should get this.

The only bad point? The size. I just wish it were bigger. Haha!

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ Best body butter i've ever used in my life

Victoria's Secret Blossoming Romance Eau De Toilette and Strawberry and Champagne Body Mist

Left: Strawberry and Champagne Body Mist
Right: Blossoming Romance Eau De Toilette

Given Description:
Eau De Toilette Spray :
The nectar of Secret Garden's surreal fruits and flowers, bursting with otherworldly fragrance. A blissful union of violet petal, raspberry and vanilla sugar.

Refreshing Body Mist :
Our single best-selling item. Invigorating and calming all at once, this delightfully fragrant mist is formulated with moisturizing aloe and soothing chamomile to leave skin supersoft. An intoxicating blend of strawberries, hyacinth, cassis, white flowers, and sandalwood.

Okay for the Blossoming Romance Eau De Toilette it smells very very sweet. Like saccharine overload. It smells exactly what sugar would smell like.

A bit too sweet for my liking, i think this is perfect as a gift for young girls below the age of 12. Personally not my favourite but would probably be a hit with girly girls and barbie dolls fans.

Bought in New York for $9.50. Very affordable and good as a gift.

Rating: ♥♥♥

The Strawberry and Champagne Body mist smells a lot better. I really love the scent of this particular range, as in the Strawberry and Champagne range.

Has a sweet scent, a nice luxurious name and is quite light. Evaporates quickly, but leaves a lingering scent. Lovely.

Bought in New York too, for $9. Afforable too, and quite worth it.

Scent: A blend of briar roses, bergamot, fresh greens, amber and vanilla.

I like the design of this tube, really sweet looking.

Smells rather oldish, like an olden scent that older people would like. The scent definitely doesn't appeal to me, unless you want to smell like Grandma.

Leaves hands feeling rather sticky, and is quite thick.

Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment

Given description:
Proactiv Solution Advanced Blemish Treatment - Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Cream. Medicated with 6% Benzoyl Peroxide. Use for emergency treatment of acne - directly on blemishes. This product is a part of the unique Rodan & Fields Proactiv Solution system. Advanced formula works quickly and gently to help clear and prevent acne blemishes. Contains oil-free moisturizers to avoid irritation and keep the skin hydrated. Extremely smooth and silky semi-clear formula. This tube is small enough to easily fit into your pocket. For spot treatment only - do not cover large areas of your face with this product. Store in a cool and dry place until ready to use.

Well this is the first time i've tried any Proactiv products. As you know, i have skin that is prone to blemishes so i've tried about nearly every method in the book (i don't mean traditional blemish removing recipes) to remove them. I heard about Proativ and how good their products are so i decided to buy this product to test out how good it really is.

The cream looks slightly whitish, but goes onto skin clear. DOesn't have an overwhelming unpleasant smell.

Results: After 2 days of putting it before bedtime i noticed that my blemishes were smaller and less red. however, this does not significantly remove large pimples totally. It does however work well on small zits.

It isn't very cheap either, costs $39 SGD i think? You can get this at any pharmacy such as Watsons and Guardian.

Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ 3 and a half hearts. Pretty okay, though not a miracle worker

L'Occitane lavender tea tree geranium body lotion

Given Description:
Enriched with Grape Seed oil, this body lotion has been formulated to moisturize and nourish even the most sensitive skins. This body lotion contains lavender, tea tree and geranium essential oils and allows you to relax.

This too, has an undefinable smell. I guess thats what you get when you mix three key ingredients together that each have a potent smell. Doesn't smell unpleasant though.

This lotion is absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving an only slightly sticky feeling after. You can test this product out at any L'Occitane Store, because they always have samples and testers for you to try, which is great. Their store is always nicely decorated too, really homely and organic feel. Staff are always very nice, be it in New York, Melbourne or Singapore. I have never encountered an unhelpful staff member in any L'Occitane shop before.

This lotion is light and is white in colour. One would think it is green, due to the colour of the bottle but it is in fact a pure white.

Can't remember how much this costs, but you can of course check it out at any store in Takashimaya Ngee Ann City, or anywhere really, depends on what country you're from.

I don't think it is too pricey though.

Body Shop Spa Wisdom Monoi Moisture Balm

Given description:
Use with other products from the Spa Wisdom range to recreate an indulgent and pampering spa experience in your own home.

Before bathing, pour a few drops of Dreams Home Fragrance Oil into one of our Oil Burners, light a tealight and let the heady scent of tropical flowers fill your bathroom to create a tranquil atmosphere.

Pour a few drops of Monoi Miracle Oil into running bath water to create a wonderfully fragrant atmosphere.

During your bath, mix Monoi Miracle Oil with Purify & Plunge Bath Soak in the palms of your hands to create a richly fragrant and incredibly effective scrub paste to smooth over your skin in circular movements. This action will help stimulate circulation, deep cleanse and remove dead skin cells, leaving skin feeling refreshed, renewed and purified.

When dry, smooth Monoi Moisture Balm over your skin to moisturize.

Instructions: Scoop out with your fingers and massage into your skin as often as required.

This is a moisturizing cream, not lotion. The problem with people is that they always confuse cream with lotion. So im here to enlighten you all. Moisturizing creams are for those with dry skin or those who feel their skin needs a little extra moisturizing. So in a way, creams are more heavy-duty. Their texture is also heavier and thicker, and might feel greasy to some.

Lotions have lighter texture and also absorb quicker into your skin. They can be used conveniently if you are going out soon after, because they absorb quicker than creams and so will not leave an unsightly grease mark on your clothes. Those who do not have very dry skin should use lotions, that should suffice.

Souffles or sorbets are a fancy name for moisturizing creams that have a very light texture, even lighter than lotions. They absorb even quicker and often you can tell that they are souffles/sorbets by just looking at it because the appearance of the cream is more translucent. These are normally supposed to 'refresh' your skin, hence the texture of the cream.

You should be able to tell if a product is a cream, lotion, or souffle/sorbet. They would put it on the packaging and also there should be testers for you to test the product, to see if the texture is what you want and so on.

Well as this particular product im reviewing does not say, it just says it is a balm, let me tell you that this is a cream.

Appearance wise, has the colour of yellow daffodils, maybe a little lighter. I cannot classify the scent at all, it's not floral neither is it citrusy or fruity. I don't particularly like the scent, but my brother says it smells nice so i guess everyone has different opinions. It's not smelly though, thats for sure.

has the texture of a light cream, there is a difference. Some are heavier and thicker, while others are lighter and smoother. This is the latter. An example of a heavy thick cream would be the Crabtree & Evelyn Mango Butter one. Those are really good for very very dry areas, example your feet.

Easy to spread, and leaves your skin smelling lightly scented with the unknown smell. Hahaha, alright. Maybe it is a little floral, i'm not very sure.

The area with the cream on feels slightly greasy/sticky after, so i wouldn't recommend putting this on before going out as it might stain your clothes.

I used up one tub pretty quickly too, which is about 200ml of cream. Well i use it every night before i go to bed.

Costs $38.90SGD from any Bodyshop store. Paragon, Tampines Mall, Heartland Mall and Ngee Ann City all have a Bodyshop.

Origins Clear Head Mint Shampoo

Given description:
Clear Head Mint Shampoo If you wash your hair every day

Your scalp tingles. Your head clears. Your hair comes alive. Origins zesty mint-trio bursts into an exhilarating lather while kindly cleansers clear the way for hair to swing, shine, act silky-smooth.

HOW TO USE: Apply to palms and then to wet hair. Work up a lather. Rinse.

This shampoo has a really minty fresh smell, really wakes your senses up when you wash your hair. Has the appearance of a gel and lathers quite well. I suggest you leave the shampoo on your head for a minute or two to experience the minty coolness that lasts even after you rinse the shampoo away. If you just lather it up and wash it away, you wouldn't feel the coolness of the mint that well.

Doesn't leave me hair smelling too minty, which is great because im not that big a fan of mint in my hair. i'd rather have the mint smell in my mouth than on my hair!

Downside of this shampoo is that it leaves your hair a little too squeaky clean, like all the oil has been washed out so leaves it feeling a tad too dry. Definitely have to use with conditioner, unless you want your hair to be dried out within a week. However it really cleans your hair well, so its great to use after a hot sweaty day.

You can get this shampoo at any Origins counter. Paragon Metro has one, beside the shoe section. Or you can always visit it's website www.origins.com to browse the products at home.

Origins is a brand that uses plant extracts and is considered organic, hence the high prices.

Clear Head Mint Shampoo costs around 18 to 20 SGD i think? Im really not sure, but i know it's not the average price of any shampoo.

Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ 3 and a half hearts. Nice minty feeling, but a bit too drying for me

Asience Shampoo and Conditioner

Given description:
Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish / Moisture Balance is specially formulated for Asian hair that is prone to damage from chemical treatment, UV rays, braiding, blow drying and frequent perming and styling. It contains natural essences of soy and pearl protein, which penetrate deeply to repair dry, damaged and brittle hair.

Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish / Moisture Balance also contains camellia japonica oil and ginseng extract that help the hair retain moisture, and restore suppleness within the hair follicle. Camellia japonica oil has long been used in Asia to nourish the hair and skin.

The eucalyptus extract protects hair and brings back lost shine, while rice germ oil strengthens and moisturizes the hair to repair, nourish and protect it from the inside out.

Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish / Moisture Balance is suitable for use by adults and children.

Directions:

Apply a generous amount of Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish / Moisture Balance onto palm and work into wet hair thoroughly, massage into scalp and through hair.

Wait one or two minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Follow up with Asience Conditioner and Asience Treatment.

For best results, use daily.

The first time i used it i was quite delighted at the texture and consistency of the shampoo. It was really creamy and smooth, and had a sort of pearlescent colour to it.

(It's a little blurry, sorry. Left is shampoo, right is conditioner)

The shampoo was thick and felt creamy in my hair. I would vote this as shampoo with the best texture.

It foamed up to a creamy lather, and pampered my locks leaving it with a nice pleasant smell.

After that i smoothed on the conditioner, which looks like, well, a conditioner.

After rinsing out my hair i noticed it was really smooth and smelt great.

However, after a long time of using, i felt my scalp starting to itch. I had to scratch my head nearly everyday, so i am not sure if the itch was caused by the shampoo or not.

I am not very sure how much this costs, but you can get it at Watsons or Guardian.

Rating: ♥♥♥ ♥/ 3 & a half hearts. If not for the itch, i would give it a 4.

Vichy Normaderm Active Anti-imperfection Concentrate

Given description:
Vichy Normaderm Anti-imperfection Concentrate 15ml. Suitable Skin Type/ Concern: Oily and imperfection-prone skin

A targeted treatment that works on the spot to shrink and clear imperfections.
Results: Instantly, the inflamed area is calmed, redness gradually disappears. The size of the imperfection is reduced after 8 hours and cleared after 24 hours. Will not dry out the skin.

The 1st Vichy skin treatment with 4% concentration of Salicyclic Acid SC in order to break up the layers of dead skin cells accumulated on the surface, in order to reduce and absorbs imperfections while drying them out without irritating the skin, and to regulate sebum production locally in order to stop eruptions at their source Vichy Normaderm Anti-imperfection Concentrate 15ml. Hypo-allergenic. dermatologically tested. Vichy Normaderm skin care range is suitable for oily to combination skin and acne prone skin.

The cream was light and smelled a little clinic-y for my liking. I would have preferred a more subtle, maybe even floral or refreshing scent. Im not that big on the smell of this one.

The cream was easy to spread, though it left my face looking a tad shiny.

The next day, there wasn't any noticeable difference. However, the spots were a little less red and inflamed, so i guess there must be some sort of improvement there.

Vichy products are targeted at shiny oily skin prone to pimples and acne, so i would recommend Vichy products to you if you have oil acne-prone skin. Using one product does not have much difference to me, but i guess if you use their whole range the results would be better.

Should retail at about $27-$30 SGD? Theres a Vichy counter at Paragon Metro, and there should be one in Takashimaya Ngee Ann City.

LUSH Christmas Party bath bomb

Given description:
Scent: Champagne Cocktail
Effect: Dissolves your inhibitions

Pop a LUSH bath bomb in a pre-run bath and it erupts in a mass of fragrant fizzing, sometimes launching flower petals, leaves, natural butters, and even confetti into the bath water. After a mad frenzy it calms down and gently scents the water with natural essential oils. What could be better than a really good pary, in your own bath? Christmas Party is a celebration packed into a bath bomb. Drop it in the bath and it smells like refreshing orange juice and bubbly champagne with a drop of cognac for good measure. Give it as presents to all your guests and keep a dozen extra for when you feel like celebrating.

Now doesn't this sound absolutely wonderful? Let me tell you something, i lovelovelove Lush stores, especially their products! When you first step into a store, your nose will be assaulted by the wonderful scents of the products displayed in their full glory. It really is an experience, just stepping into their shops. The Lush store assistants are also one of the most helpful around. Most of their products have testers, except for maybe their face masks, so you can always test out what you want. The store assistants are also real helpful and will help you find what you need.

Wandering around their shop is like how wandering around a candy factory is to a candy lover. It's simply interesting and just nice to walk around looking at the products. You don't neccessarily have to buy to appreciate the products, but then again, it is pretty impossible not to step out of the store without getting anything!

Most of their products look eatable actually. Like their buttercreams, which are made in such a way they resemble cakes! Really! I think if you buy one of their buttercreams they would cut out this huge 'slice' from the cake.

Anyway, moving on to the actual product im reviewing here. Sorry, i just can't stop gushing about how wonderful their stores are.

This bath bomb smells amazing. I wouldn't be able to identify the smell actually but it really smells great. I don't know how champagne would smell though, but this has a pretty fragrance.

When dropped into a bath, it fizzes and lets out an 'xplosion' of confetti and bubbles. The confetti is made out of little multi-coloured stars that just float about your bath tub as the bath bomb dissolves. It's really pretty and when dissolved, the bath bomb gives out this amazing fragrance that just lasts in your hair after the bath. Really nice. And your bath room will also be nicely scented with the smell of the bath bomb.

THats one thing i love about Lush. Their products reallyreally smell good, one of the best fragrances ever and the best thing about them, they are organic. They make their products from fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Their face masks are so fresh that you have to use it within one week! Thats how fresh their products are!

And since their organic, i don't have to worry about synthetic and irritable elements in their products irritating my sensitive skin.

One thing im disappointed about though, is that Lush is not in Singapore!!! I would love it if Lush came to Singapore! And im sure they will do well here, with customers like me! I would definitely buy a lot from them and become an avid user.

Since Lush isn't in Singapore, content yourself by going to their website

www.lush.com

to browse through the amazing array of beautiful products. I only wish i could hold and smell them, that would make the whole experience better!

This product, the Christmas Party Bath Bomb, is im afraid, a limited product. It was only available last Xmas, so it might be on sale again this Xmas, im not sure! Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best though!

Retailed for $5.95 USD. Bought it at the Lush store in 34th St. New York. Theres a Lush Store somewhere in Soho too.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts! How could i not give the maximum to such a wonderful product like this?

L'Oreal UV Perfect Advanced Fluid Protector

Given Description:

Especially made to prevent the appearance of brown spots, skin darkening and premature skin-ageing.

Let me tell you people, this product, to put it frankly, sucks.

There are 3 types of this product, purple, beige and white. I used the white one, which was supposed to blend to a transparant finish. The fluid came out watery, so i was expecting a smooth blend. I was horribly mistaken. Not only was this difficult to blend and hard to absorb by my skin, it left my skin sticky and really white!! And when i mean white i don't mean the nice translucent type of white that everyone wants. I mean the type of white that looks like you put on a foundation that is too light for your face and you didn't even blend it in! Thats the type of white im talking about.

I felt really self conscious when i left the house, and one of my friends even asked me why i looked so pale.

OF course i refused to tell him why.

Anyway, it was really sticky as well. Felt like sweat and grime and made my face really oily as well. Even after blotting it with a tissue, my hair kept sticking onto my face whenever the wind blew, and of course, made my hair sticky as well.

It said on the back "Perfectly hydrated all day long, skin feels soft, smooth, ready for make-up".

I don't think so. It does not make your face soft, nor does it make it smooth and if it's not smooth, it's definitely not ready for makeup!

I would advise you all NOT to buy this product. Gave me a hard time and made me look like a chinese opera extra.

Rating: Zero hearts. Thats how bad it is.
